I like to begin my lesson by playing a song while projecting it on board. I usually ask the students to choose a sentence they like from the song and explain why they have chosen it? While they are working I take attendance.

Explanation

Worksheets with the voc. and let them practice.

Focus on listening and speaking using the voc.

Highlight the new voc within a text and have them translate the sentences.

Paragraphs with the voc. and then have them complete the sentences using the new words.

1. Know well the interface of the test (what to expect in each part)

2. What to do in each assignment in order to complete the task)

3. The need to know the necessary vocab (receptive & productive)

4. Tools to start speaking/ overcoming anxiety

5. Listening skills (basic listening comprehension skills)

Larisa, Yara, Ghdeer and yael:

 1. Teach necessary vocabulary

2. Show them pictures, write a story together according to the pictures. Use "stories in picturs"

3. Listen to easy texts and match answers to questions ( a listening task once a week).

4. Practice talking about themselves. Give them vocabulary.( in pairs in class)

5. Students record themselves speaking about themselves.
