"the shard-borne beetle with his drowsy hums Hath rung night's yawning peal, there shall be done a deed of dreadful note."

This is a revealing moment of Macbeth because he shows that his greed drives him to kill.

Lia and Will

Ere we will eat our meal in fear and sleep

In the affliction of these terrible dreams

That shake us nightly: better be with the dead,

Whom we, to gain our peace, have sent to peace,

Than on the torture of the mind to lie

In restless ecstasy.

it shows that it is a pivotal moment because it shows how they are Both in fear of the people that they haven't killed yet and still have a lot of power, and it shows that they want to take everything in their path to glory.

Jack and Nathan

"And fill me from the crown to the toe top-full

Of direst cruelty! make thick my blood"

This is revealing that Lady Macbeth is trying to convince herself that she is powerful and can successfully kill Duncan.

Tory, Lilly, and Kipper

Ben, Simeon

"That I may pour my spirits in thine ear"

This is and example of a Metaphor. Lady Macbeth is using the term spirits to mean her ideas. She wants to give her ideas to Macbeth. And pouring them into his ear is putting the ideas in his head.

"We have scotch'd the snake, not kill'd it:"

This quote relates to how by killing Duncan, Macbeth made himself a target to all whom associate themselves with Duncan. (metaphor)

Lia and Will

"Upon the sightless couriers of the air,

Shall blow the horrid deed in every eye,

That tears shall drown the wind. I have no spur

To prick the sides of my intent, but only

Vaulting ambition, which o'erleaps itself

And falls on the other."

This is an example of imagery because of the detailed and specific words it provides. Brings in the emotion along with being able to imagine what is going on.

Lilly Tory and Kipper

"When you durst do it, then you were a man;"

Lady Macbeth reveals her true intents by manipulating her husband into going through with the murder of Duncan, showing how she is more power-hungry than Macbeth in the beginning of the story because she wants to be queen.

Jacob & Mara

O, full of scorpions is my mind, dear wife!

Thou know'st that Banquo, and his Fleance, lives.

it is a metaphor that enhances the moment and describes how Macbeths mind is full of scorpions. it also shows that he is uneasy that banquo and fleance lives. it is also a metaphor because it shows how Macbeth is in fear because he killed Duncan and his mind is full of scorpions

jack and Nathan

"O, full of scorpions is my mind, dear wife!"

This is an example of a hyperbole, it is expressing how Macbeth is in pain since Banquo is still alive.

Tory, Lilly, and Kipper

"...they made themselves air,

into which they vanished."

This is a metaphor and describes how the weird sisters/witches disappeared after Macbeth tried to question them more about his future as king. It enhances the moment because instead of just saying they vanished, he described them as air.
