I think you've done a good job of making up the shortfalls of the curriculum. I was able to focus on actual comprehension and learning. I've enjoyed the amount of speaking we've been able to do, which is always tough in a virtual class.

I have enjoyed the first week of this class. It wasn't overwhelming but still challenging enough to get back in the groove of language study. Agree with the other comments about good amount of time spent as group and independent. As for course structure I do not understand why we are spending nearly 20% of class time on testing. It would make sense for intermediate or basic level class but I feel like taking so much class time out for testing is a waste of valuable time.

I've enjoyed your teaching style. I think it's been a good balance of working independently and working together. Teaching language virtually is difficult, but I have no complaints about the way you have been doing it.

I like your teaching style a lot! I really like listening to you speak because it helps me get exposure to authentic language.

My only feedback would be to call on students to speak more to get more practice in producing the language.

I love this class and I'm so grateful that I got to join!

I really enjoy Laila's teaching style. I think the work is difficult (in a good way) and it is challenging me so that I can hopefully improve upon my language skills. This is the most organized SLTE I've taken! Even though there are some things I'm not used to (transcriptions and long tests), I feel as if they are mixing up the options for learning Farsi and providing me with something different to do... it is refreshing. I like how each hour is structured, but that there is no pressure to perform or get a certain amount of work done. Laila is very encouraging and helpful and very positive- which makes me enjoy the class and participate :) Thank you! This is the best class I've ever done for Farsi.
