The other 2 people involved. Dr. Salvador Plasencia and Jasveen Sangha pleaded not guilty to their alleged crimes. Matthew Perry suffered from addiction on and off for a long time before his untimely passing in 2023.

Cold case murder from 1986 linked to serial killer with 13 other victims

 

A cold case murder from 1986 of a teen has now been solved after DNA match led investigators to a convicted serial killer on death row. During February of 1986, Police responded to a report of a woman lying in the street. They found her unresponsive and pronounced her dead. There was no identification on or around the body so she was listed as Jane Doe No. 17. A few days later, detectives received a call from someone in the Lake Elsinore area who alleged that the victim was his roommate. He identified the victim as Small. In 2019, through a search of a house across the street from where Small was found, investigators saw a newspaper report of her death. This led them to find out that none of the items from Smalls investigation had been DNA tested. They were finally tested in 2020 and after they had found the match, the convicted killer admitted to the crime.

An Illinois cafeteria worker is heading to prison after stealing $1.5 million worth of chicken wings from a school district.

 

Liddell, 68, previously served as the food service director for the Chicago school district, despite having multiple bankruptcies in her past, according to CBS.

 

Per ABC, prosecutors said Liddell placed orders for the chicken wings with the district’s main food supplier for nearly two years, starting in July 2020, though she would keep the food, despite charging the district.

 

Liddell’s theft was discovered after the district's food service department exceeded its annual budget by $300,000 mid-year, the outlet said.

 

Court records obtained by CBS state that the former school worker was accused of ordering more than 11,000 cases of chicken wings.

 

The food was meant to be used for take-home meals for students who were learning remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic, WGN reported. Liddell had worked at the school district for more than a decade, the outlet said.
