Donald Trump is projected to become the 47th president of the United States

Donald Trump has won the 2024 presidential election scoring 276 electoral votes according to CNNs magic wall (6:21 AM, could be updated) earning the controversial candidate a victory following a win against Hilary in 2016 and subsequent loss to Biden in 2020. An assassination attempt earlier this year, and Joe Bidens failing mental stature, set the stage for this years election a few months back and the results of this have finally come out. The implications of this win will be long lasting and studied for years. If you have a newspaper today I suggest you keep it. If this projection is accurate, which I believe it to be so, this will be the second president to win 2 non-constructive terms after Grover Cleveland.

We can't control the outcomes of these larger than life events, but we can make a difference through our day to day lives.

Russia fines Google $20,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

Russia is seeking an unfathomable sum of money from one of the world’s biggest tech companies.

Google reportedly owes the Kremlin more than 2 undecillion rubles — a 2 followed by 36 zeroes — after refusing to pay fines that are now accruing for blocking pro-Russian channels on YouTube.

The virtually unpronounceable penalty amounts to $20 decillion — or around $20 billion trillion trillion. That dwarfs the size of the global economy.

At $110 trillion, according to International Monetary Fund figures, world gross domestic product looks modest in comparison. Google parent Alphabet, meanwhile, has a market value of around $2 trillion.

Russian state media TASS reported this week that a Russian court had earlier ordered Google to restore the YouTube channels — several of which have been blocked since 2022 — or else face mounting charges, with penalties doubling every week

Judge denies motion filed by Kentucky Democratic Party to extend polling hours in Jefferson County

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WAVE) - A judge has denied a motion filed by the Kentucky Democratic Party to extend polling hours in Jefferson County after several reports of technical issues and extensive delays were made at multiple voting locations on Election Day. That means voting polls will close at 6 p.m.

KDP filed a lawsuit against the Jefferson County Clerk and the Chair of the Jefferson County Board of Elections on Nov. 5, and requested polls remain open until 8 p.m.

“We are extremely disappointed by this ruling given the extensive technical issues in Jefferson County, which caused some voters to wait in line for more than three hours,” KDP Party Executive Director Morgan Eaves said. “Polling locations across Jefferson County were functionally closed. These disruptions weren’t just unacceptable — they deprived Kentuckians of the fundamental right to vote.

Instead of fighting for Jefferson County voters, the Republican Party of Kentucky argued in opposition, alleging that the GOP-majority General Assembly is the only body able to extend polling hours. This absurd claim is an extension of their relentless obsession to remove checks and balances within our government. It not only effectively nullifies Kentucky’s judicial branch, it also disenfranchises Kentucky voters of all political affiliations.

We urge all eligible voters to get to their assigned polling location ahead of 6 p.m. For any Kentuckians still in line when the polls close, stay in line.”

Harris and Trump

In his final campaign rally in battleground North Carolina, former President Donald Trump urged his supporters to help him close out the 2024 election cycle and win the White House. “Hopefully everything will work out well, we’re way leading, all we have to do is close it out,” Trump said. “If we get everybody out and vote there’s not a thing they can do.” Trump began his final rally in the battleground state by discussing polls, which he said show him leading. Trump said he’s visiting North Carolina on the eve of the election to urge people to “get out and vote.” Last week, CNN reported on the latest poll out of North Carolina, where Harris stood at 48% to Trump’s 47% among likely voters. The results were within the margin of error in the state, suggesting no clear leader in the contest.
