hi friends

It's meant to build tension between the author and the reader. The “...” and blank space is also meant to build up suspense for the “your tail is showing” comment. "The tail" is the end of his gun(like the handle) and it is showing out of his pants. The comment can also mean that Will was not hiding his anxiety well, and was already being perceived as weak.

Its showing that Will is shocked and doesn't know what to say because its probably the least expecting thing he was thinking at the momment

Will had a reaction that was like he was shocked and he thought he was losing it so we kept doubting himself leading to him not knowing what was real and whats not.

will was speechless or shock

Will may not have known that Shawn's gun was once Buck's gun. He also may feel guilt for using someone else's gun.

He didn't think too much about the gun, just took it and left. After buck, a long time friend said that he was gonna check on his gun, Will thought the gun was buck's, and he was right. he wasn't supposed to have it.

It’s meant to show us Will being stunned or speechless.

The 3 dots shows how Will is shocked and surprised about how this man said something that Will was not expecting at all

What is the “...” and blank space meant to show us on p. 90?
