Difference 1: Malcolm X is more violent while MLK is more peaceful

Difference 2: Malcolm X does not want equality?!

Difference #1: Dr. King has a more peaceful, but still to the point, tone to his writing, while Malcolm has a more direct and tough tone.

Difference #2: Dr. King’s letter was calling groups out, while Malcolm X’s speech was a call to action.

Difference #1: Malcolm X was less non-violent

Difference #2: Dr King believes that everyone should be equal and Malcolm X thinks that black and white should stay separated

Difference #1: Both of these leaders had the same end goal. But they had different methods and beliefs in order to obtain the goal. Malcolm X believed in violence while the King protested peacefully. This is highlighted in Malcolm's speech and theme.

Difference #2: Both of these honored men were driven by separate gods. Malcolm X was a muslim while dr King was a christian. This separated their methods dramatically.
