Comparative & Superlative

Χρησιμοποιούμε τον συγκριτικό βαθμό (comparative) των επιθέτων ή επιρρημάτων για να συγκρίνουμε δύο πρόσωπα, ζώα ή πράγματα. Συχνά χρησιμοποιούμε τη λέξη than μετά το comparative.

Grandma’s house is bigger than ours.

Tina writes more neatly than me.

Χρησιμοποιούμε τον υπερθετικό βαθμό (superlative) των επιθέτων ή επιρρημάτων για να συγκρίνουμε ένα πρόσωπο, ζώο ή πράγμα με άλλα πρόσωπα, ζώα ή πράγματα. Χρησιμοποιούμε τη λέξη the πριν από το superlative.

Adverbs of Manner

Χρησιμοποιούμε adverbs of manner για να περιγράψουμε πως κάνουμε κάτι.

Συνήθως σχηματίζουμε adverbs of manner προσθέτοντας την κατάληξη -ly στο επίθετο.

Όταν το επίθετο τελειώνει σε -le , αφαιρούμε το -e και προσθέτουμε την κατάληξη -y.

simple simply

Όταν το επίθετο τελειώνει σε + - y, αφαιρούμε το -y και προσθέτουμε την κατάληξη -ily.
