Use: General truth

Use: Describing posibilities in present or future.

 

Second conditional

Form:if+past simple/continous+main clause with could,should,would,might+ bare infinitive.

 

Use: Opposite to the present, suggest something hypothetical, giving advise.

 

Third conditional

if+past perfect +main clause with would, could, might +have +past participle.
