I agree with katie because multiple times in the story the narrator say's wise thing's about himself and how he planned stuff so basically he is impressed with himself

The killer planned on killing the victim but the victim didn't know the killer was planning on killing them.

The difference between the victim telling a horror story and the narrator telling the story is like their different point of view's and what they expereince in the story most of the time it's different
