A theme of a story is a central idea or a message of a story.

 

1.) perseverance leads to success in many short stories, characters who don’t give up achieve there goals and the importance of kindness many stories teach that showing kindness can have a positive impact.

 

2.) in The Tortoise and the Hare, the theme is that slow and steady wins the race emphasizes the patience over speed.

Two Facts about Theme

 

- Themes are methodically implemented in the story to inscribe a fond or displeasuring sentiment.

 

- Themes are usually adjacent with corresponding findings the characters face dilemma with.

 

Example

 

- Alice in Wonderland - despite gaining notoriety upon children, touches on many thematic nuances on identity, death, and its very apparent symbolism on the creatures in the story.

 

One of the most prominent themes in "Alice in Wonderland" is the idea of growing up and the idea of identity.
