I usually celebrate New Year's Day by traveling to Lima to be with my mom's family. We have a big family gathering, enjoy a nice meal together, and wait for midnight. It’s always fun to be with everyone, sharing stories and making memories as we welcome the new year.

We celebrated with a great dinner, of traditional dishes with my family and friends.
We count down and then we all hug each other and say happy new year. We also light fireworks.

How is New Year's Day celebrated?
First, a family dinner is organized, where we all share the family dinner. Then a toast is given to the new year and finally we visualize the fireworks being launched into the sky.

I celebrate the new year with my family, eating twelve grapes at midnight, making a toast to a prosperous year.
We decorate our living room with New Year's decorations.
I celebrate it by travelling to my grandparents' village, we enjoy a family meal and fireworks. We also enjoy the patron saint's day celebration there.
