no for an object . because object is not a human. It doesn't have mind and it works using programmed algorithm that can't be changed by the object.

maybe yes for robots that will have ability to develop their programs by itself and get out of human control.

Yes. It is. When people give object the power of their life. Their time, health, and money.

Most, if not all, people agree that a person has ownership over his/her self. For example, I have ownership and control of myself because I am a person.

Is it possible for, or does it make sense for, an object to have ownership of itself?
