Not everything is useful that we study in universities. Some information students will not use. Also the information may be old and not relevant

It is hard for me to see how learning about what a famous actress is having for lunch in California right now, is useful information for me

Information that only focus on the personal aspect of someone, no matter from which source, I don't find it useful. Normally I avoid TV/radio for information as well. But sometimes I break my own "rules"

They can be useless in the sense of not being used on any of our career plans, but it normally is still important information to have. But I am sure if people had the choice, they would skip all the "useless classes"

Some individuals who keep complaining and telling you same stories .. but don't do anything to change their situation..

May be not all the information is beneficial. However any information is may be used for some purposes. Statistic companies collect any information because some day it can be important
