If we see a boy stealing, it would be cruel to call the police.Cause he's a boy and he's probably not aware of his mistake.I think finding and talking to his family is the best decision. They will give advice to their children on this matter.İf necessary, the family child should be punished and so it won't do it again.

It's vital that you help him understand that he have to take responsibility for his actions. Than, you can give him a warning before talk with his parents about the situation. Also, you have to convince him that he should think of the future consequences before do something.

My brother might get angry, deny everything and end the conversation.I think he might not take me seriously and carry on shoplifting.

Situation

I saw my thirteen-year-old brother shoplifting and ı am not sure what I should do about it...You should offer some advice to help solve the problem then create the solution to the problem.

You should tell your parents that he is stealing. If they don't do anything about it then tell him you will report him to the police if he doesn't stop. Tell him it is not becase byou want to get him in trouble but to stop before he becomes an adult and ends up with a long jail sentence.

If I were you , ı would try talking to him first. Being a teenageris not easy, so you should go easy on him and be supportive, but at the same time you should be firm and discourage him from repeating this kind of behaviour. It is vital that you help him understand the future consequences if he gets caught shoplifting.. I think he may deny everything and get angry, but you should explain that what you are doing is for his own good. even if he becomes hostile towards you because he might feel that you betrayed his trust, this won't last forever becase he will eventually understand your intension. You can give him a warning before you tell your parents but if he carries on shoplifting you should tell them.
