There are myriad of strategies about past advertisements which still exist, firstly few companies do false advertisements in order to attract more buyers by only showing the positive sides of the products. There is often a significant difference between the product in the commercial and the product in hand. It may affect consumers decision making and their emotions. For instance as per the times of America a survey conducted in recent days showing that most of the bobybuilding suppliments do false commercials by claiming much more benefits. They claim the things such as gain 10 kg weight in 30 days.

One of the most common strategies in advertising, is that companies try to say, their products is better than other comptetitors in many aspects.

Companies often, compare their prodcuts to similar products from competitor companies convince consumers they are above the others, making consumers want to purchase their product. although sometimes the claim made are true, they can also be false and product is not better than their competitors.

Months ago, I was on instagram, looking out my friend's stories and suddenly a coffee maker just popped up, I went through the link and checked out the page, I realized it had excellent marketing, making customers think it was the best coffee maker ever, after that I checked other brands and they had same description and cheaper. the first brand has been in the market for a long time, more than others, but that does not mean they are not good.

In my opinion, this can be helpful for companies as an advertisement strategy if they stick to honestly and follow ethical practices, because when they claim superiority, it has psychological positive impact on consumers thoughts to buy their product.

Advertisement has became an important part in our daily life to know about the products or services. We should analyze properly about the products or services from other sources too without fully relying on advertisement. (John Biggins, 2010).

Informative advertisements can be useful. Informative advertisements can help consumers to get detailed information about products or services.

However, some persuasive ads try to influence consumers to buy the product by claiming their products the best among other rival competitors.(John Biggins, 2010).

One personal experience of mine where an advertisement has become informative, is back in my home country, when I had seen ads related to hairfall oil. The advertisement was so attractive, at first I thought the company was just trying to seek attention from the consumers but later on I knew about the product from one of my relative that the product was useful and whatever the advertisement showed about the product was true.

Most advertisements aim to sell only. Faults of the products or services are usually hidden from the consumers. Hence, sometimes, we feel deceived if the product or service we bought does not turn out the way the advertisements claim to be.

(John Biggins, 2010).

There are number of promotions methods used by companies which are still continued from last decades. From a pool, only few advertisements provide correct detailed outline of product. Comparing the product with other competitors and confessing consumers to purchase their goods is known as persuasive advertisement. The advertisements can sometime mislead customers with wrong information (Biggins, 2010).

A real life example is Redbull the famous energydrink industry. The company paid a compensation of $13 million to settle a case against false advertisement because the company slogan mentions "Redbull gives you wings". The consumer put case against that false and misleading commercial mentioning i have no wings after drinking. Its not always that the company is honest in promotion, so consumers should be mindful and aware while purchasing.

However, only a minority of the advertisements are informative ones. Many of them belong to the second category - the persuasive kind These advertisements not only tell us more about the products, at the same time, they persuade customers to buy them by claiming that their products are superior to the rivalry ones. These claims may sometimes be untrue.

Televisions and radios are top advertisement tools that still exist. A lot of companies prefer to use televisions and radios for advertisement. Some of those ads does not reflect the truth but some still useful.

According to John Biggins in Newsweek(2010), most of the sellers are not reveal their product faults to consumers. Instead, they are giving untrue information through the advertisement(Biggins 2010). There are some companies unethically running their business by making false advertisement. Hiding the drawbacks is one of their strategy to increase selling. There is a facial cream called Gorry. They advertise that their product works for anti-aging for all skin condition especially for acnes. But the result was awful. It was one of the worst product of 2017 that i personally used. That is why advertisement are manipulating consumers to buy products which they are not how they advertised.

Some advertising strategies from the past still happens today. One of them is social proof strategy which already have a lot of trusts from the consumers and influencers. There are sometimes problems with the product or service that are not told to the consumers, since advertisements only care about selling their product or service(Biggins, 2010). There are some makeup products that lies to the consumers to sell their makeup. For example, testing on animals before selling their product and being dishonest about the ingredients. In conclusion, selling a product or service is more important to some companies than being honest with their consumers.

"Most advertisements aim to sell only. Faults of the products or services are usually hidden from the consumers. Hence, sometimes, we feel deceived if the product or service we bought does not turn out the way the advertisements claim to be"(Biggins, 2010, p.56).

More then ever advertisements are a everyday occurrence in our lives and many of them have a specific strategy in place. many ads, known as persuasive ads entice us into buying inform us about the product without mentioning the downsides (Biggins 2010). Persuasive ads are still relevant today, as most ads will portray themselves to be better then the leading brands. An example of persuasive advertising in action is the Bounty paper towel. Many of their ads will add statistics or comparisons of their product compared to other brands and portrays itself as the better paper towel. Overall, while advertisements are helpful, it is important to make decisions on what is and what isn't truthful.
