One of the traditional Portuguese Christmas desserts is pão de ló.

In my family, it’s a tradition to play board games. Most families in Portugal also play other games while waiting for midnight, and the most traditional games are card games, for an exemple there is Sueca.

Every year, for christmas, my family and i cook bacalhau (cod fish). We have a traditional dish, using bacalhau, and it usually contains boiled potatoes and vegetables. It's the most portugueses food, in my point of view.

Every Christmas, my grandma and I do creme burlee. It’s called “leite creme” in Portugal. It’s actually one of my favourite dessert.

I am Chinese American. Every Christmas my family eats lots of Chinese food that represents stuff. For example, dumplings represent money, and eggs represent having luck in life. We also take pictures every year to make memories.

Greetings from the United States. A Christmas tradition I have is to watch the Rankin Bass stop motion animation Christmas movies with my Dad. These movies bring me tons of nostalgia, since I grew up watching these movies every Christmas as a kid.

In my family, every year, we play a game called 'dirty bingo' where there is a big pile of gifts, and everyone writes down ten numbers on a piece of paper. The numbers are called, and after all of the gifts are gone from the middle, you steal presents from other people until all of the numbers (1-100) have been called. You could possibly end up with 10 gifts or none, it's all luck. It's a really fun game to play with family.

     Hi, this is a tradition that most Americans do. The Elf On The Shelf. I know that other countries do it too though.

     This is where Santa sends an elf from the north pole to watch and see if we have been naughty or nice. every morning the elf is in a different place so you have to find them.

     My family had two elves named Joy, and Lucky. our elves had a different rule though. the elves don't go back to the north pole until we get the Christmas down. the elves are still here because we have our Christmas tree still up. (January, 17).

Every year right before Christmas, we go to my grandma’s house and all my cousins, aunts and uncles, and grandparents come. Everyone brings a different dish. After everyone arrives, we all get some food.(I especially like the variety of choices we have for food.) After we all finish eating, we pass out stockings and look through the gifts we got. Then we pass out cards, open and read them, and then thank all the people who gave them to us. After, we will open are actual gifts individually. In my family we try naw foods from other countiys like dry oranges and we try a new one each night. To pick which one we do for the night there will have cards that are split up evenly and each carde will have a number. If you have the card with the number one on it you pick the food that you will have on the first night and who ever has the second one would go next.also to remember which one we usually tape the card with number to the one that thay picked and is dose not have to be food it could be a drink or dessert. What I do on Christmas for my tradition is we first, open our presents with the people I live with. Then, we go to my mom's side of the family and have breakfast then will open the presents.
