Nolan Briggs- I have used Google Classroom as a course management system. i like it because it puts everything in one place, you can upload documents input videos and have assignments all in one place.

Elizabeth G.

At the university level, we use Blackboard as our LMS. I used Google Forms as a Quiz tool. I had students complete an online assessment as a review (formative assessment) before our upcoming test. They enjoyed getting feedback right away to help them determine which areas they needed to study in depth before our test.

Google Classroom-Kelly Taunt

We are covering the Holocaust at the moment, and have used forms to create an extra credit assignment/assessment to make a connection between two topics.

Heidi Amhdar-we are a microsoft school so our platform is Schoology. I really like it. I use that as my class website and post daily agendas along with all of my work for the week. I think it is a good platform for those students with attendance issues or health issues. My video lessons are in there along with my guided notes and the assignments so they can access my class as if they were in school. This really helps eliminate the missing work or school excuse because all my assignments are there. I assign my multiple choice part of my tests, progress monitoring (IEP goals) and any other MC type questions via Schoology so I don't have to grade them and the kids get instant feedback on their grades. Daily assignments we do on paper because it is math and doing math on the computer is hard.

Julie G. - I've used Classkick for assignments and reflections with students. It's particularly nice because you can record sound (either student answers or you can read the directions to students) and you can see their work. If you were online, you could see all of the students working on their assignment at the same time; there would be a grid of thumbnails that show what they're doing. You can also provide feedback or stickers and other things like that.

Amanda B.- I recently learned how to setup my own google classroom from another class that Melissa taught (thanks!) and learned about many of the google integration tools, like bookwidgets and quizlet. I also loved learning how to use Jamboard within google classroom.

Rheanna- I am new to all online assessments. I am taking these courses to gain knowledge in hopes it will come in hand one day.

Gaige Shriver- at my previous school we used Canvas. Once, I actually figured out how to use it. I really enjoyed it. This school was primarily online, therefore, it made sense and was easy for students to use.

In the past and currently, I use Google Classroom. I post 95% of school items there. I post daily/weekly agendas with links where students can click on what they need to do. All assessments are located there as well. I believe Google Classroom is extremely user-friendly. It also helps that all of our students are used to it. As a district, we use it regularly. I will continue to use it throughout my teaching career.

Victoria Gargasoulas - In my college courses, we use Black Board and Google Classroom. I think Blackboard is very boring is not the most user friendly. It is not very inviting and kind of intimidating to look at. While Google Classroom is much more user friendly, gives you reminders when assignments are due and is completely integrated with your Google account. For my future classroom, I plan on using Google classroom to have my student submit their work.

Heather Stein-- For the past 3 years they have used SEESAW at my sons school. I have never used it as a teacher, only as a parent. But I took your Seesaw class last month and learned ways that teachers can benefit from it. Such as specialized activities for developing learners as well as adnvanced learners. I am not sure if his teacher this year will use Seesaw.

I have used blackboard for my college classes. My children (personal) use google classroom. I found blackboard very confusing to use, but I am an "older" learner, so maybe if I had grown up with all the technology resources my children have now, maybe it would be more easy to use?- Mandy F

Hailey Brower- For my college classes, we use blackboard. It's nice to have everything in one place, but it isn't very user friendly. Even as college students, it's easy to get confused sometimes. In the kindergarten class that I am placed in, the teacher has used seesaw to help assess students. Outside of the formal assessments done at the beginning of the school year, we use seesaw to assess letter recognition and letter sounds.

Rebecca Daman - I have used Google Classroom in the past. I usually used the question function to assess how students interacted with a lesson or video. Since I teach very young students, doing online assessments is very difficult. I used it really as a check in to see if they, and their parents, were doing the online assignments.

Google Classroom- Last Thursday and Friday, I subbed in a high school Newcomers English Langauge Learners classroom. The teachers used Google Classroom for the warm-up, a pronoun practice, and even to give the students a quiz. Each student took a different quiz based on their ability.

Teresa S. - In the past I have used Google Classroom. The general education teachers I'm working with this year use Canvas. I've never been trained on how to use it, but I'm hoping to learn more this year.

I plan to use Google classroom in the mean time to create videos of ASL that students and parents can watch togehter

Katie- With my groups, we use Google Classroom. For the younger groups we mainly use it for program and classroom updates. We also use it for keeping track of each classes general progress of songs learned, rhythms learned etc. For the older class, it's pretty much the same thing. Except if we have a performance reflection, the students fill them out in Google forms. Recently its been assessing the younger students' song, rhythm, and rule retention.

Miranda - at Prompt, we are creating our own LMS (learning management system), with a format similar to Google Classroom. Recently, we created a series of formative assessments to help students write a short summary of an article. We provide immediate feedback with the chance for students to revise, and we provide checklists and video instruction. All of this is ungraded and meant to supplement what is being taught by their primary teacher in the classroom. We also have students self-reflect to determine their confidence level with the material. Their self-assessment score helps determine what activity they should do next.

Melissa - At St. Francis de Sales, I use Google Google Classroom grades 2-8. I create short quizzes using the Quiz tool for my computer classes on digital footprint and cyber safety.
