Jackie Robinson was a talented baseball player, he was the first African American to play Major League Baseball. He grew up without his father, Jackie was a star athlete in high school, at this time racial segregation was high in some states, because of segregation Jackie was forced to play in the Negro leagues. A man named Branch Rickey invited Jackie to the Brooklyn Dodgers, lots of people thought Branch Rickey was crazy, some officials tried to stop Jackie from playing by cancelling games, even some of his teammates treated him badly. But others, like shortstop Pee Wee Reece, stood by him while times were though, after year and year, Jackie and the Dodgers played well but they just couldn't beat the New York Yankees. The 1995 World series was different, at this time the Dodgers would not be denied, although they lost the first game, Jackie inspired his team by stealing home plate, and they'd finally won the World Series! The Dodgers were a championship team, because all of us had learned something Jackie said later, I have earn the respects of my teammates, they had learned that it's not skin color, but talent and ability that counts. Then player from the Negro leagues followed Jackie to the major leagues, than Jackie lived a happy life he help black people in his work for civil rights, became a successful businessman, and as a proud husband and father.

But worse if black people want to play basebal there only allowed to join the team of the negro leagues ! But Jackie tried out for the Kansas city monarch and he got in, all thank to Jackie and a person named Brach Rickey, Brach Rickey doesn't like to see white people mistreats black people so as the general manager of the brooklyn Dodgers he let black people play baseball like Jackie but when he did everyone made fun of hime for playing but others like Pee Wee Reese helped him when people made fun of him but he didn't care and all he did was play and he helped his team win everytime but every time the team would lose betwen the New York Yankees but in the baseball series Jackie help the team finnaly win and after that other black people followed Jackie into the major leagues.

So its not skin color that counts it ability and talent that counts
