Are The Hanging Gardens of Babylon a myth?
The Hanging Gardens are the only one of the Seven Wonders for which the location has not been definitively established. The archeologists haven’t found evidence about them, but they found some texts that are talking about the hanging gardens.
Why were the Hanging Gardens built?
Nebuchadnezzar built the Hanging Gardens because of his wife. Amytis (his wife) missed the green hills of her home land. They were built in the 6th century but we don’t now exactly where. We believe that they were in Iraq.
What were they like?
The Gardens had trees, flowers and waterfalls, all over the place. Inside there were statues.
Where is Babylon, today?
Babylon, is the most famous city from any other ancient civilization. The site of the ancient city lies just south of present-day Baghdad, Iraq.

Pavlopetri was discovered in 1967 by Nicolas Flemming. It is an underwater city off the coast of Southern Laconia in Peloponnese. It is 5,000 years old, and it's the oldest in the Mediterranean sea. It is very well priserved, and it has an almost complete town plan, including streets, buildings, and tombs. The town was first built somewhere around 2,800 BC so it's also includes early Bronze Age middle Minoan and traditional material. It's believed that it was submerged around 1,000 BC, by the first of three earthquakes that the area suffered. The site is under threat of damage by boats bragging anchors as well as by tourists and souvenir hunters.

Unsolved Mysteries
Description:
Here is a project: Follow the steps every time I tell you. Start with the 1st one:
Step 1: Search for unsolved mysteries around the world. Use the ideas on p. 32 in the SB and the listening on 6 lost Cities of the world which you can find in the Links.
Step 2: Work in groups in WEBEX. Read the information you found and decide on which of these mysteries you want to work, as a team.
Step 3: Each member of your group will find information, photos, or videos and you will decide what to write.
Step 4: Create your presentation on the wall of this digital tool. Use photos, short videos, or documents and post everything as I showed to you in class. Remember to include your sources of information. Be ready to present it to your classmates and to answer questons.
Step 5: Decide who will present what and rehearse before class. (Presentation in class by all the members of the group)
Step 6: Write your names below your presentations. Copy the link of the wall and post it as your answer to this assignment in the e-class.
