"Hey Oliver (friend), you've been staring at that watch for forever, do you want me to buy it for you?

-Oliver and I made a promise that I would buy it for him the next week

-tried to convince my parents but they explained our financial situation and I realized it too pricey

- decided not to buy it for Oliver as it was too expensive

- bought another smaller cheaper gift for him and wrote him a letter apologizing

conclusion:

- i did not manage to buy a watch for oliver due to family financial issues.

- oliver forgived me for not buying a watch for him as it was indeed too expensive

Rising Action:

  - I gathered all the money I could find and was very excited as Oliver looked like he really wanted the gift

  -With a spring in my steps, I excitedly skipped to the store

  -I was determined to buy it for him and there was no way I was going to let anything stop me

 -When I went to the store and saw the price of the watch, I realized that it was out of my budget.

- use "my eyes popped out of their sockets when I saw the price tag

- I knew that I would not be able to afford it with the amount of money I had at the time so I went home to ask my parents if they could pay for a portion of the price
