About lino canvas

• “Profile” canvases and canvases set to public are public open canvases that everyone can see. Do not post private information on them.

• “Main” canvas is private canvas only for the owner.

Publicity setting and Public Canvases

• Canvases set the publicity “Public” + checked “List on Public Canvases” checkbox
  – They will be listed on the Public Canvases on dashboard and the Popular Canvases (http://linoit.com/public/popular).

• Canvases set the publicity “Public” + unchecked “List on Public Canvases” checkbox
  – They won’t be listed on the Public Canvases on dashboard and the Popular Canvases (http://linoit.com/public/popular).
  – Users and guests can see the canvases with the canvas URL.
  – Canvas URL can be modified by changing canvas name.

• RSS
  – Canvases set the publicity “Public” originally publish RSS.
  The RSS can be read by everyone who knows canvas URL.
  URL of RSS : http://linoit.com/users/{user_name}/rss/{canvas_name}

  – Canvases set the publicity “Private” can publish RSS by checking “Generate RSS for this canvas” checkbox. URL of the RSS contains authentication key.
  URL of RSS : http://linoit.com/users/{user_name}/rss/{canvas_name}/{key}
  Authentication key for RSS can be modified by turning off and on RSS publishing.
  URL of RSS can be known through RSS reader depending on its publicity setting.

  – Group Canvases can publish RSS by checking “Generate RSS for this canvas” checkbox. URL of the RSS contains authentication key.
  URL of RSS : http://linoit.com/users/{user_name}/rss/{canvas_name}/{key}
  Authentication key for RSS can be modified by turning off and on RSS publishing.
  URL of RSS can be known through RSS reader depending on its publicity setting.

• iCalender (ics)
  URL of ics is private for each user.
  iCalender URL can be modified. (My Page > Preferences > Calendar, RSS)
  URL of ics can be know through web-based calender depending on its publicity setting.

• Referer
  Canvas URL can be know by others through HTTP referer.
  For instance, if someone clicks on URL on a sticky, administrator of the website possibly know canvas URL. Group Canvases set the publicity can’t be seen by others since they require authentication.
